Governance

The Certified General Accountants of Nova Scotia is a self-regulating professional body formed under an Act of the Legislature of Nova Scotia.

The Association is governed by a Board of Directors who are accountable to the Members, Students and other stakeholders, for the Association''s performance in relation to its mission and stategic objectives as well as the effective stewardship of human and financial resources.

The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Association with responsibility for facilitating its vision and strategic direction, managing the organization's day to day operations, and consulting with CGA Members and Students.

CGA Nova Scotia is a signatory to the National Affiliation Agreement.  This agreement ensures that all CGA Associations in Canada meet minimum requirements for certification, public practice, and continuing professional development.  As a signatory, CGA Nova Scotia ensures that its Members have full mobility within Canada.
